Will my anode corrode faster with this system?
No, the quick disconnect fitting system doesn't introduce any more elements that aren't already in your hot water system. Think about all the existing fittings that are already attached to your hot water line.
Can I buy off the shelf fittings?
No. These fittings are custom manufactured in order to get the anode assembly to properly function.
Do we offer a 1/2 npt version
Not at this time, we are currently in development of a 1/2 version. So there should be one for sale in the near future.
What are the required tools needed to install.
1-1/16 socket to remove the existing anode.
12" "Channellock" style pliers to install the male fitting to the water heater.
After initial install no tools are required to remove the anode.
